Artist Biography

Eloul, Kosso (Russian, 1920-1995)
Kosso Eloul was born in Murom, in the former Soviet Union. He was raised in Israel, and educated in Tel Aviv and the United States, attending the Art Institute of Chicago where he studied with Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Chicago School of Design with Laszlo Moholy-Nagy. In 1969, Eloul settle permanently in Toronto, Ontario. Over the course of his career, Eloul created monumental sculptures all over the world, including the design of the eternal flame of Yad Vashem - the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem, Israel.
